a grateful antisocial bee.

hi crazies.

so apparently, i walk on the wild side of life and decide to write blog entries on friday nights instead of going out and partying like the rest of the world. -_- it's been a weekly routine to come home at the end of the week and just veg. i get ridiculously exhausted from staring at computers at work all week, and thus i am mentally and physically wiped out by friday night. so just love me and believe me when i say i'm going to sleep at 10pm tonight.

what was i supposed to talk about? oh yeah, being an antisocial bee + being grateful for life.

let's start with the topic of being an anniemal / antisocial bee.

on being a (party) anniemal: for the past month, i've gone out 3-4x a week to meet friends, socialize, make friends, fellowship, play, and straight up eat eat eat. a lot of it has to do with 1) it's my birthmonth and 2) i love spring and may. but i've concluded that i just can't do it anymore...well, at least, i need to let myself recharge and spend time with Him. and i can't get fet. hence, i vowed to not go out this week. uh fail. i told mama choi my plans for the wknd and she literally gawked at me.

therefore, on being an antisocial bee: i promised myself that i won't go out in june...that much. but really, i've been around people people people too much during the month of may that i just don't want to spend time with you crazies anymore. well, some crazies are fine, others i just can't stand to be around. and that's the brutal honest truth. i just get tired thinking about it. even though i'm an ESFJ according to the meyers-briggs personality test, i was an Introvert for years. all i want to do is sit, read, and spend time with my family. that is the plan for the month of june...after my 3 1/2 day weekend. :)

onto the next topic of being grateful.

the beginning of this year was tough, not gonna lie. funemployment was not as fun as people say it is and even when i started my new job, the latter half of april was a harsh learning experience to say the least. i was bitter and angry at God for taking away three very important things this year--opportunities that i was looking forward to and had my heart set on. but He knows what's good for me when i don't. i wasn't supposed to get those internships for a reason--He gave me a promotion instead (today was my first day! and i got out at 1:15pm! just saying.). i didn't need that relationship--He saved a friendship instead. i can honestly say that i am loving my life right now. yes, there are hard lessons and tough realities. but i'm learning as i go, and i am so very grateful for where He's placed me right here and right now.

woo! now it's time to sleep. :) i hope you all have a wonderful memorial day weekend! i'm welcoming summer with open arms with many fun activities this wknd...before becoming a hermit to the world. happy memorial day, crazies!
