2010: the year of the car accident.

2009 might have been the year to shine...
and 2010 is for the win (and the year of the tiger)...
but for the choi sisters, it's the year of the car accident.

sister got into her first car accident 2 weeks ago.
i got into my first real car accident last night.
...what?

how is it that BOTH our cars are out of commission in a span of 2 weeks? not that surprising because someone hit my parked car way back in feb/march, and then i hit a parked car 2 weeks later. maybe God has a sense of humor and decides that 2 week lesson plans are for me.

last night, due to a very dear friend, i got to attend this ridiculous charity party/festival/extravaganza on the paramount lot for FREE (tickets are usually $350!!). SO much FREE food and drinks, casino games with fake monies, free manicures, excellent DJ (i got his card -- he's going to be the dj at my wedding HAHA), ferris wheel, carousel, live band, swag...awesomeness. i had SO SO SO much fun, and i was going to continue the night in downtown LA to hang out with some other friends...

i was stopped at a red light, literally waiting to go into the left turn lane when the light turned green, and then BOOM, out of nowhere, someone rear-ends me. yay...

thankfully (or unthankfully? i don't know yet), it was an older korean couple on their way to pick up their kids. apparently the father's eyesight was fuzzy, it was nighttime, and my car is a dark color. shrug. we exchanged info in the parking lot of walgreen's, and they seemed honest enough. i had hit my head against the headrest upon impact so my head was throbbing, but my poor car is so sad. the rear bumper is completely concave and tore up. the trunk door and extra wheel cover were impacted too. cry cry cry. i just hope i get a rental car out of this because with my sister's car being out in the shop for 3 weeks (i've been taking her to work every morning), we only have no cars to spare. sis can potentially take the metro to and from work, but i can only take the metro to work. i start my night shift tomorrow (5pm-2am: another cry cry cry), and the metro stops running at a certain point. ANYWAY. pls pray for this situation bc i'm still a little sore and it's crazy how much it sucks to be carless in los angeles.
