to-do.

let's take a break from the all the materialism on this blog for a little bit. trust me, i never intended this to be a "i want this" and "i want that" kind of journal. so please forgive the frivolous pretty things posts. they're just easier/quicker when life is nutty. this blog is really about chronicling about the growing up process...

but before we plunge into that, let's refer to the title of this post: "to-do." i feel like these days, my life is a never-ending to-do list at home, church, and especially at work. here are some to-do's for my life in the past week:

work
- organize very poorly named audio
- group footage
- catch up on digitizing
- work solo on friday
- talk to the story department re: what exactly my job entails?
- make coffee

home
- put artwork in frames
- organize my last few boxes of clothes
- dishes
- dishes
- dishes
- cook for friends :)

church
- commit to extended support of missionaries (urban & international)
- write several drafts of my STC testimony, which was revised/reviewed/edited by church staff
- practice announcement/testimony several times aloud
- plan STC project details with co-leader/coworker

a bit cray cray. i mean, i should be sleeping or doing the dishes now. whatever, i need to process! just let me process.

i gave that STC announcement today. talking for five minutes in front of 300 or so people is nerve wracking! i flubbed a little here and there, but it was over pretty quickly. i was sweating bullets from the glaring lights and my heart was beating crazy fast. but it got one more volunteer for my project, so i am heppies. and i shared my love for STC - i can't believe i've led projects for three years straight!

despite all these to-do's, i make SURE to make time for fun. i went to the Magic Castle for the first time ever on saturday night. super fun, super harry potter! this week's theme was magic from portugal, and it was fascinating! i would never take magic classes because, well, it'd take the magic out of everything. they have a strict dress code and it was way fun to dress up and enjoy live entertainment in a castle that seemed very old hollywood. totally doing it again if i ever get an invite again!

something i will get into in another post: i need to, want to, need to, want to make reading the Word a life to-do. a daily life to-do.
