simplest days come super unexpectedly with twists/turns along the way to actually make the day simpler. that makes sense to me in my head - hope it makes sense to you.
i hauled myself across the city this morning only to be locked out and then sent home for the day. so what did i do?
1. went to a bakery and munched on a raspberry jam thumbprint scone and sipped on silverback coffee and read the hunger games (SO GOOD)
2. went to the korean sauna and worked out.
3. went to the community college to settle my fees...only to discover that community colleges are not on top of their stuff. but i paid for the meter already! so...
4. i bought myself scoops ice cream (ricotta toffee and strawberry coconut, super yums!) because i hadn't had it in a long time...and it was a lovely sunny day! and then sat down to read the hunger games some more (SO GOOD)
5. came home and did laundry while catching up on blogs & emails.
6. parents came over to take care of some paperwork.
7. called bff and caught up for an hour.
8. watched tv.
i ate, read, did chores, caught up with family/friends, and watched tv.
on other days, journaling at a coffee shop might be in the mix.
in the end, life is really about very simple pleasures and and keeping life easy breezy (beautiful cover girl? no, i won't go there). i'm really thankful about the time to have hour-long phone conversations, time to think, time to exercise, time to be with me, time with my thoughts (how time heals..), and time with the Spirit.
