quick bullet points.

i was going to write this lengthy blog entry but that'll come later this week or next week, i bromise. i should really be sleeping right now, gah.

but a girl's gotta blog when she has the urge to or else nothing will ever be published. laziness will overcome the moment.

for now, i have these things on my mind:

- i want a crockpot so i can learn how to "make" slow-cooked meals. i feel like it'd be a useful investment.
-  rick bayless' frontera spicy guacamole mix is BOMB DOT COM. pick it up at your local ralphs.
- growing up = being more sure/confident of who you are and who you want around you. yes, that's right, but i can't just cut people out of my life willy nilly. i can set boundaries, yes. learning how to do so now. a good friend reminded me that growing older means we're more opinionated and so that makes us averse to people that aren't like us...but we're not called to be so. it's not beneficial to me or the other person - we can learn by being around different people. when did i lose sight of this? hoping to expand on this topic later.
- today i read about forgiveness in the Bible. 2 Corinthians 2:5-11. forgiving those closest to me. forgiving myself.
- i posted an article on the community college's department website. the professor "liked" and commented on the post and i did a little jig in my mind. i'm totes a nerd.

first two bullet points = about food.
second two bullet points = about faith.

food and faith.

(one last bullet point: my blogs and fb status updates seem to increase as springtime beckons. i would've said that maybe it's me wanting to be more social, but i don't that's the case this time. i wonder what the true correlation is. whatever, gnight.)

  1. i, too, am in the market for a crock pot. totally want to "set it and forget it". and hello, who doesnt want a tender, juicy meal?

also experiencing self-forgiveness and what forgiveness in general looks like. realizing it's not one, set standard but varies from person to person, experience to experience. hope you find freedom in it.
